Salary: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain the integrity and timeliness of the underlying accounting records
• Process bi-weekly payroll
• Bank Reconciliation
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
• Review of cheques to vendors prior to signing
• Prepare month end journal entries and working papers, balance sheet reconciliations income statement and cash flow analysis, etc.
• Maintain Fixed Assets List including depreciation schedules, Leases, and Acquisitions
• Administer month end closure checklists including AP, AR and GL accounting functions
• Deal with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Process GST and monthly tax remittances
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, safeguards, and company policies
• Assist with year-end closure and review with external accountants
• Document accounting procedures
• Other duties and Special Projects as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• Advanced Microsoft Excel/Word proficiency is required
• Minimum Working towards the CPA designation
• Minimum of 5 years in full cycle accounting experience
• Experience with Great Plains AP, AR and GL [Jobcost and Service Manager an asset]
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
• Highly self-motivated and proactive
